Postdoctoral scholar, 2017

mHealth group, Professor David Kotz
Dartmouth Department of Computer Science

I am currently seeking a postdoc to join my team.

As a postdoc in my group you would be involved in an interdisciplinary research team building wearable health systems and/or studying the security & privacy issues that arise in such systems. We have three currently funded projects (Auracle, Amulet, and THaW), in collaboration with colleagues in the engineering and medical schools, and at other universities (Clemson, Johns Hopkins, U.Illinois, U.Michigan). See our recent papers.

As part of my group you would also be engaged with two cross-campus interdisciplinary institutes at Dartmouth, the Institute for Security, Technology, and Society, and the Center for Technology and Behavioral Health, providing extended opportunities for learning and collaboration.

You must have finished your Ph.D in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, have experience planning and conducting experimental computer systems research, and be an excellent programmer. The best candidates will have expertise in mobile computing, wearable computing, embedded systems, machine learning, security, privacy, or some combination.

Dartmouth College is an Ivy League university with graduate programs in the sciences, engineering, medicine, and business. It is located in the beautiful town of Hanover NH, about two hours northwest of Boston. Hanover is the #1 college town in America! Dartmouth College is an equal opportunity employer.

Interested candidates may apply by email, supplying their vita and a cover letter indicating how their background might fit with our projects.

Applications are being reviewed as they arrive.
